1、意思不一
play 球类：play的后面加球类或者是运动单词时，其意思为打。比如：play basketball意思是打篮球。
play 乐器：play的后面加乐器单词时，其意思为演奏。比如：play the guitar意思是演奏萨克斯。
2、与定冠词the的关系不一
play 球类：play后面加球类或者是运动单词时，中间不需要加定冠词the，比如：play volleyball、play softball。
play 乐器：play后面加乐器单词时，中间要加定冠词the，比如：play the guitar、play the ocarina。
