on (常用作时间介词)在用作地点介词的时候，一般指的是“在...上面”. 常用的有:on the farm/ground/floorplayground等.
英语地名名词前面用on， 后面没有the
如：on fifth avenue
一般讲，专有名词前不用the. 也就是说，人名、地名、国家名、组织名等的前面都不加the.
如:China， Britain. 可是，非专有名词构成的地名、国家名、组织名的前面要加the.
如:中华人民共和国The People's Republic of China 大不列颠及北爱尔兰联合王国The United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland 再如:on campus， on the playground都用on，on Pacific Avenue，on Mulbury Drive
一般来说，in/at 用作地点介词的时候的in 后加大地方(有时候也可以用在小的地点前)，at后加小地方.
如:in China， in the school， at school， at the school gate，等.这种区分也会在词组中体现出来: arrive in + 大地方的地点.
如:arrive in Shenzhen. arrive at + 小地方的地点.如:arrive at school.
